Yes, it's true... the Holy Spirit will equip you with the right words to say, when you need to say them.

Knowing a few meaningful, inspirational or comforting scripture verses provides you with the self confidence needed for the Holy Spirit to more effectively use you.

My experience has been that as my memorized verses library grew, the calmer I became when faced with  one of those unpredictable sharing moments.

So, please consider this:

This is not about learning only that verse... for the month... it's about memorizing the full thought or context which makes the verse so meaningful for your life.


How To Choose 
A Bible Verse

Here is a well-known NIV verse you are most likely familiar with:  Galatians 2:20.
(part of Paul's statement to the Galatians)

"I've been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me".

Powerful and inspiring for sure.
And once you include a bit of context...  
(by memorizing verses 19 and 21) 
It became a more insightful and informative verse to recite.

"For through the law, I've died to the law, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
I've been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave himself for me. 
I do not set aside the Grace of God, for if righteousness could be earned through works, then Christ Jesus died for nothing."

Memorize that, and you will have 3 more related yet independent verses that The Holy Spirit can use through-you to spread the Gospel.

It's so important to be ready to answer that nudge, push or shove when it happens... so memorizing lots of scripture is the easiest way to be ready!

Ephesians 6:  19-20
"Pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I should.
